Adapter plate to use your trim router with Makita-style guide rails

This model allows you to mount a compact trim router onto a Makita (or compatible) guide rail system, making it possible to cut perfectly straight grooves, dados, and edge cuts with improved control and repeatability.

It works as a base plate adapter that attaches to the bottom of your router and interfaces with the rail for smooth guided movement.

🔧 Compatibility

⚠️ Since trim routers vary significantly in hole spacing and base dimensions, this model may not fit your router directly.

To make adaptation easier, the Fusion 360 (.f3d) file is included, so you can modify mounting holes and dimensions to match your router.

🧵 Printing Recommendations

• Material: PETG, ABS, or ASA (recommended for rigidity)
• Infill: 50–70% for strength
• Walls: 4–5 perimeters
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Print orientation: Flat on the bed

For best performance, ensure a snug fit to the rail and consider light sanding for smooth sliding.
