AMS feeding guide - Easy compliant mechanism

I came up with an really interesting solution for the AMS feeder.

A simple compliant mechanism ensure a perfect fit for best guidance.

You simple slide and push it down for installation.

  • Wear and tear protection through perfect guide
  • Better grip button → no more sore fingers
  • Helps to solve feeding errors
  • Fits all AMS versions! → (For AMS not AMS2/HT)
  • Simple print, no support no fancy parts
  • Very Easy to install and remove
  • It is very stable, no worry of breaking! (PLA, PLA+, PETG tested), but do not use silk or other filaments with weak layer adhesion.
  • Long PTFE inlet guarantees that the hose does not come loose

2 Versions:

  1. For Ø4 PTFE Tube ( Buildplate 1)
  2. Ø2 for using without PTFE Tube ( Buildplate 2)

 

Personally i use PTFE tube with 4cm - 5cm length, but feel free to cut as long as you want, with less guide length it is easier to insert spools.

For assembly make sure the PTFE do not overcame the flat surface.

Tip: Twist the PTFE Tube while insert makes it easier!

 

V1.1 deeper arrow/deeper color and adjusted hole for use without PTFE
