Re-purposed Laptop Screen Case

This is a case for a re-purposed laptop screen, the screen reference is LTN173KT01.

I doubt anyone ever needs a case for this specific screen, but the Fusion360 file is provided if you want to adapt it or find inspiration for a similar design.

This design is far from perfect, but it worked. I'm sure it is possible to make something easier to print (the slot for the screen is a mess) and use less filament.

Materials :

• The screen

• Speakers (x2): https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32832795528.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.10.383d5e5bDmQguf&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra (need some wires and a 4-pins JST connectors)
• Some M2x4x3.2 and M3x5.7x4.6 threaded inserts and screws (you should have plenty of screws on the laptop you take the screen from)
• A power cord (check your controller board specification)
• A Chromecast is a good source for the video, if you go this route you may want:
  • A USB cable
  • Some wires
  • A 3-pin JST connector (one of the pins is useless, connect the 5V+ and the GND to power the Chromecast from the board)
