Dragonfly Tessellating Tiles Puzzle

This tessellating tile puzzle is based on M.C. Escher's "Dragonflies" (Regular Division of the Plane, Drawing #13) as seen in "Visions of symmetry" by Doris Schattschneider.

For anyone curious, it is located on page 126. I could not find a copy of this book in my university's library so I had to rent a digital version from the internet archive with very low quality. Thus, it is not a 1:1 recreation. It is more like a version that is just close enough to be 3d printed.

The base tile is actually 2 dragonflies attached at the head. This is what allows the tiles to actually stay together. If you wish, you may download the single dragonfly from the Fusion360 source file without the chamfer (it is hidden by default).

Be sure to print slow and with Arachne if you can to make sure the perimeters are as perfect as possible. PLA works but I would recommend PETG or PLA+ since they do require a little bit of flex.

Although this is not technically a puzzle, when you give the pieces to someone who hasn't seen Escher's sketch, it tends to take them a few moments to figure out how to fit the pieces together, so it's close enough to a puzzle in my mind.
