Fish scale

This is a working fish scale that can be used to weigh that can hang from it

from now on I will refer to the parts as they are named in the files

printing:

print all the parts on a flat side

assembly:

use the images to help with assembly

1. take the base and place the 10 tooth gear on the pin under the extruded rectangle
2. now grab a rubber band, tie a knot on one side and slip the other side through the hole on the back of the dial gear
3. now place the dial gear on the pin in the middle
4. place the hook in the vertical opening on next to the 10 tooth gear. Make sure the hook meshes properly with the 10 tooth gear
5. now place the other side of you rubber band on the remaining pin. If the rubber band appears too loose figure eight the rubber band an hook it on again, repeat this process as much as necessary
6. place the cover on the base until it clicks, or until it is flush.

Tuning:

to tune the scale repeat step 5 as much as necessary until it properly displays a known weight

Now write that weight onto the cover of the scale and you are done!
