Hey there! I have created this replica of Godric Gryffindor's sword. Most of the parts from this model are simple to print and require no real considerations, they are easily glued together with CA glue.
Except for the blade - blade is a nightmare, so to make the process easier I have prepared 3 options:
- Use the first 2 plates I prepared, blade parts are printed diagonally up, it has to be done very slowly, 20-30mm/s with accelerations set to about 200ish and supports on. This is my prefered way, it can add some wobbly-lines but those can be ignored or sanded down. Also a note - since this part can be tricky I have used PETG as a sword material, because it seems to have a superior bed adhesion.
- Second option, is pre-cut 6 part-blade that prints easily, but requires lots of parts. Since this model is very thin I have added some small connector-blocks that you can add inside to connect and make it tad stronger.
- Third option is cut the blade yourself - I have attached stl file of entire blade for that.
Good luck!
Additional note:
I have ruined my 0.2 nozzle, but if you have time it may be a good idea to print handle parts using this nozzle for additional detail.
