Description

Overview

Mario's piranha plant as a fruit fly trap.

Instruction

To print this model in color you need AMS.

Once printed, glue the plant to the pot and insert the leaf into the holes.

To set the trap, pour apple cider vinegar or usual vinegear (even better in my case) into a jar and cover it with a piranha plant model. You can also add a drop of dishwashing liquid to lower the surface tension.

Printing

In print profile model has 0.28 mm layer height for printing speed. If you want better quality just lower layer height.

If you have problem with adhesion on bed try to add brim do plant model.

Size

The model in print profile works with small jars with an opening up to 51 mm.

If you want a different size of the pot cover, please write to me and I will adjust the diameter.

You can also simply resize it, but in this case the piranha will not fit perfectly and you will have to glue it with more care.

Update 12.08.2024

I increased diameter of the hole inside the model so more volume of vinegar smell can attract flies.
