Description
The Sentinel is an innovative 1980's computer game released first on the BBC Micro then subsequently on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Amiga and PC - see The_Sentinel_(video_game).
The low-poly entities in the game lend themselves well to chess pieces:
For printing I use 3/3 for walls/top and if you want a heavier base (recommended for stability) use at least 10 layers for the bottom, preferrably more. Then a 15% infill at 0.16mm. As for materials, anything really; silk PLAs, plain PLAs, woods, stone, marble etc. You will need tree supports, just the nature of the entity shapes themselves.
Designed in OnShape CAD and printed with Orca Slicer on Creality K1 and Ender S1 Pro
The Chess Board shown in the images can be found here: Modular Chess Board.
