Description

This is an add-on for the Speediance Gym Monster handles. The project started when I noticed the straps of the handle cutting into my hand while I was doing hammer-curls. As usual, I over-engineered a solution to the problem and after weeks of testing I came up with this useful add-on. This add-on is not meant to replace the handles, but to help elevate the pressure of the strap from during the up/down pulling motion of the GM cables.

*** VERY IMPORTANT ***

After extensive testing with PETG, PETG-CF and P6-CF, I settled with PETG-CF as my filament of choice for this. I can not stress this enough - DO NOT USE PLA. The arch design helps distribute the pressure from the weight. At minimum  I would use PETG-CF. With a stiffness strength of 100-120MPa, it's close to PA6-CF (150-180MPa) which would be my first choice. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with it and it will take a lot of printing trial and error before I can come up with a reasonable profile. PPA-CF (240-260MPa) is of course the ultimate choice but too costly for me and I have zero experience with it.

I've done extensive testing with the settings provided in the .3mf file but if you want to contribute better settings please do. On the subject of annealing - I recommend it. The added post processing will help add more stiffness to the add-on. Dont' forget to check out the other add-on for your gym monster here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1987297-speediance-barbell-hook-holder-with-accessories#profileId-2138410

Now go forth and be make something EXCELLENT!
