Description
For modelling and education purpose only, I do not recommend attempting powered, this motor spins at over 40,000 RPM, very dangerous speeds.
Electric Brushless Motor Powered Turbocharger
Different sizes were tried to properly load the motor, this was the best result.
Develops a fair amount of pressure (see video below)
Parts used:
540 Brushless Motor
M3 threaded rod cut to 65mm (x4)
M3 nuts (x8)
Used included supports for housing
Glued two housing sections together with CA (super) glue, tricky to align properly
MotorPlate print included a pause to insert 4x M3 nuts into the recess.
Used threaded rod to secure motor and cover with M3 nuts (see pictures).
Turbine slip fit onto motor shaft.
Shim added clearance between turbine and housing (see picture).
Secured MotorPlate, motor, and Turbine assembly to the housing using the printed C-Clip (see picture).
