Customizable Towel Holder (with Wooden Dowel)

Customizable dowel holder for hanging towels and such. Only value you MUST customize is the dowelDia (default is 16mm for a 5/8" dowel). Everything else should be fine as-is if you just want something quick that works well.

 

Requires a wooden dowel and 2 command strips, size Large by default. 

Assembly

Prints in two parts, the arm and the base. Print two of each, mirroring one of the arms. Slide the arms onto the bases, orienting the arm so the locking nubs on the inside match up to the slot in the base.

 

Cut your preferred wooden dowel to the desired length and use it to measure where the bases should be placed on your wall, then attach the bases to the wall with Large command strips.

 

If you need to insert or remove the dowel, just slide the arms off first.

 

Customizer and Printing Notes

All customizer measurements are mm unless otherwise specified. Default values will fit a 5/8" (~16mm) diameter wooden dowel and use size Large command strips.

 

Recommend generating and printing the lockingTest first to make sure your printer can handle the dovetail tolerances (they're pretty generous by default).

 

Shouldn't need supports for any parts, unless maybe you have a really big dowel. Print everything in the provided orientation.
