Description

Table Curling (drinking game)

Description:

I made this table curling for a family gathering where adult beverages would be enjoyed.

The model comes with a game board on each side and can be played from 1 to 6 players on one side or 1vs1 or 2vs2 on the other side.

The game board feet have built-in point wheels to track the players' score.

Parts in model:

  • 1 game board (w. 2 sides)
  • 6 feet for gameboard
  • 6 point wheels (2 of each color)
  • 9 game pieces (curling rocks, 3 of each color)

Parts needed:

  • 6 slim rubber bands (RA003 on maker's supply)

How to play:

The 1 to 6 player game board.

Each player gets an agreed amount of curling rock game pieces and the game ends when all players have shot their last curling rock.

Players are encouraged to try and remove other players rocks from the board with their own game piece.

Points are calculated after the last curling rock is used and given based on where the players curling rock is on the game board.

Points are based on the rings on the game boards in the following order from the outer ring to the center hole 1, 2, 3, and 5 for center hole, curling rocks not touching any rings gives 0 points.

1vs1 or 2vs2 game board

Put the rubber bands as shown on the picture above.

This game mode is meant to be more competitive in nature because the game continues until 1 team reach the game objective.

The winning condition for each team (left and right from above picture) is to have 1 game piece touching each of the 3 dots on the opposite of the game board.

Each team switches on taking turns and 1 player get to shoot 1 rock per turn.

If the game is played as 2vs2 players in the teams need to switch taking a shot each turn.

Game pieces that are on the board after the shot, remains on the board.

I am currently working on some more game boards for the base game and if you want to create your own boards for it I hope you will share it with the community.

Feel free to modify and/or remix the model.

If you would like a storage box for the game I recommend this made by the user emilskibsted
Just make sure you print the model at 90% scale if you want to use the storage box.

Happy Printing!
