Arca-Swiss Style Clamp

These clamps fit Arca-Swiss style quick-release mounting plates for cameras and other photographic equipment.  I designed these clamps for applications that require them to be bolted or screwed to a flat surface.  There are two widths, full and narrow, with US or metric dimensions for each width.  In the US versions, the mounting holes are spaced 1 inch and 5/8 inch apart for the full and narrow clamps, respectively.  In the metric versions, the holes are spaced 25 mm and 16 mm apart, respectively.  STL files are included for those with other printer brands.

Required Hardware for US Versions

• (1) Hex bolt, ¼"-20 thread, 3" length
• (2) Springs, 5mm diameter, 25mm length, 0.4mm wire thickness
• (1) Washer, M6 or #12 or ¼"
• (1) Hex nut, ¼"-20 thread
• (2) Flat head machine screws with nuts, #8-32 thread, for mounting
• (2) (Optional) Flat head wood or machine screws, #8 diameter, for mounting on wood

Required Hardware for Metric Versions

• (1) Hex bolt, M6 thread, 75mm or 80mm length
• (2) Springs, 5mm diameter, 25mm length, 0.4mm wire thickness
• (1) Washer, M6
• (1) Hex nut, M6 thread
• (2) Flat head machine screws with nuts, M4 thread, for mounting
• (2) (Optional) Flat head wood or machine screws, M4 diameter, for mounting on wood

Assembly.  The assembly diagram shows hardware location.  The main bolt and nut fit snugly and may require gentle tapping to insert.

Printing tips.  I printed the clamps with PETG-CF.  They can also be printed with PLA.  To optimize strength, print the clamp components on their sides.  A brim may be required for some printers.
