8 x 32 LED Matrix Awtrix Home Assistant

 

8 x 32 LED Matrix Housing with stabile Lens and beautiful dark display.

It is suitable for standard 80mm x 320mm , 8 x 32 LED-Matrix from Aliexpress. ESP32-dev-Board Wroom 32.

Software used is Awtrix 3 with big community and many YouTube videos for Effects, Project Ideas for use via Home Assistant or via Awtrix 3 App in your Smart Home.

 

I´m using these integrated into Ikea Kallax to show Time, Calender, Weather forcast, Waste Collection Forecast, Temperature inside Home, 3D-Printer progress in % and in Time, Roborock Vacuum Cleaner Status, Dishwasher status, Battery status of your smartphone, Laptop, Ipad, Crypto and Stocks,  and and and :).

Initial Software (Awtrix 3) which I am using is from Stephan aka Blueforcer. With HomeAssistant you can create your own Automations and choose your favourite information or effects which you can show on this display.

Uptate 04.11.2024: on each Download, Boost, Print or new Follower, the Home Assistant triggers the Displays and shows the Updates :)

Update 30.03.2025: Step Files for Backplates added.

 

Update 03.04.2026: new raw files and print profile “HOUSING_for_3mm_LENS” added if you want to use 3mm thick Lens.
