Foldable stand + Card holder For CMF Phone 2 Pro/1

Why don't CMF phones come with NFC? This is a significant drawback for those who rely on contactless payments in their daily lives. hence I’ve designed a tactile solution that integrates NFC card into these devices.

Boost Me

This thin, versatile back-panel add-on equips your CMF Phone 1 with a secure NFC card holder and a built-in stand that improves grip with an easy slide. Although originally designed for the CMF Phone 1, it also fits the CMF Phone 2 Pro after a CAD mock-up assembly. I’m now working on an even slimmer version for the CMF Phone 2 Pro—let me know if you’d like to see it!

 

- Design for only fit in one card, but It can theoretically hold up to three cards. Simply make a small cut on the humps (provide friction to cards) on the backside of the based in makerworlds

 

- Designed specifically for easy 3D printing and no support needed.

 

I am looking for any feedback so that we can make this design better!

 

Iteration log

8/7/ 2024 V1: Initial submission

8/8/2024 V2: Add vertical stands capability by adjusting dimensions and addition slot. Include a spacer that can be screw on the phone and slot on the base for easy NFC card removal (overcoming with the camera humps)

8/9/2024 V3: Adding base without logo, adjusting the dimension of  bottom lock. I have upload my STEP file , so area of adjustment could be the diameter of the slot as well as the thickness of bottom layer of the stands, so that you can adjust the tightness/difficulties of the sliding   to make it fit you printer and preference! 

8/12//2024 V4: For the V4 model, I've added an additional mounting point to further secure the base. However, my 3D printer is currently malfunctioning, so I am waiting for it to be fixed before I can test the new design.

12/4/2024: TPU for AMS is now on! Hope there will be folks could try this out for me, would be greatly appreciated!

 

 

Bill of material (V1)

• Base
• Stands TPU mix var or Stands normal material var (TPU variation is recommended)
• 3 M2 * 5 screw

Printing material

• The Base are recommended to print in PETG or PLA

• The stands come in two variations: TPU Mix and Normal. The TPU Mix variant offers a longer usage cycle and is highly recommended.The demonstration are shoot on TPU mix variant However, since TPU is not as commonly available, I also offer a version that can be printed with standard materials(PLA/PETG). While the TPU Mix variant provides extended durability, the Normal variant is still highly durable and can withstand some of cycles before breaking down. 

   

For TPU Mix Var (AMS is not supported, requires manual pause and material changes)

• The hinge is strengthen and thicken
• Use TPU in (one/two/three) out of the first three layer and change to any material you like as long as it can stick well when printing on top of TPU on the forth layer, I personally experiment with PETG and PLA, PETG works the best. 

For Normal Material Var

• The hinge bit is slim down for flexibility on conventional tougher material

• For this setting I recommended to print in PETG , PLA will works but due the just the matter of life span. Also be aware of the printing orientation for optimum result.(the bottom line direction is best to parallel with the direction of bending)

   

 

Installation (V1)

For a smoother sliding experience, lightly sand the slot and apply a lubricant (even food oil works). The bottom lock is hold by friction, to further secure the bottom lock, use super glue. If it still doesent work, try calibrate your printer and filament setting for more accurate dimension compensation
