Darth Vader's Lightsaber Adaptation
This project introduces modular lightsabers that allow for the interchangeability of most components. It is designed to be compatible with various lightsaber core kits, including collapsible blades.
Types:
CORE:
- Compatible with Baselit/Neopixel lightsaber core kits.
- Features additional holes for the kit's buttons and screws.
- Can accommodate a standard 1-inch plastic/LED blade.
Collapsible:
- A simplified version designed to fit the included collapsible blades.
- Warning - The emitter's inner radius is smaller, making it incompatible with the 1-inch blade.
Important Notes:
- Interchanging components is possible with other MCL-V1 models.
- Some CORE/Collapsible parts are not interchangeable (e.g., Radiator/Emitter).
- Designed for a 0.4mm nozzle, with optimal printing at a 0.12mm layer height (threading issues may occur at 0.2mm).
- Intended for PLA; threading may become tighter with PETG, though still functional.
Parts:
There are various optional plates for each project.
Core Kit:
- The included M3/M4 screws in the core lightsaber kits are compatible with this model.
- The print is designed to withstand light dueling, but ensure all parts are tightly secured for the best structural integrity.
- There are 2 included radiator types.
- Smooth - no additional parts needed.
- Detailed - requires additional small components for a more detailed option - Requires Glue!
- There are 2 included Emitters.
- Default - 1 blade screw hole.
- Optional - 2 blade screw holes.
Collapsible:
- The collapsible blades can be printed together at a 0.25 layer height or individually in vase mode (0.82-0.88 width).
- Two blade types are available: long and medium (A1 Mini compatible).
- Do not use the emitter model from the Core kit, as it will not hold the blades.
Extras:
- There are 4 additional 38-36r adapters between this lightaber and The Fallen (MCL-V1).
- Warning - There are printable screws and bolts - they can easily break, they are there if you do not have any of your own. But be very careful when screwing them in.
- The additional detailed radiator requires small components which are best printed at 0.08.
