Customizable Magnet Dispenser

Parametric customizable version of peterb's awesome Magnet Dispenser model. Besides the ability to create a dispenser for any size circular magnet, this has a few improvements over the original design:

• Customize the dispenser length to hold as many magnets as you need
• Extra magnet cavity is on the outside so you don't need to glue a magnet to the inside
• Label the dispenser arm with any text you want to better keep track of your magnet collection
• Optional “through hole” in the closed end makes it easier to remove stuck magnets
• Customize various parts of the dispenser arm to dial in the perfect amount of resistance

Personally tested with magnets ranging from 3x2mm up to 18x5mm.

Important

Just like the original design, this works MUCH better when printed in PETG, especially for larger-diameter magnets. If you must use PLA, only move the arm enough to grab the magnets; this will help the arm remain springy for longer.

 

For best printing results (especially with larger-diameter magnets) open the print profile in OrcaSlicer and also set the Quality→Bridging→Bridge Density setting to 50%. This makes the bridges much less saggy. Unfortunately Bambu Slicer doesn't have this setting yet.
