Customizable Box With Cover (#1 in series)

This model can be customized online to make a box and fitted cover of virtually any size. The box’s interior can be optionally divided into compartments of equal size. An inlaid text label can be added to the cover. Colors may be specified by the user.

Printing tips.  Based on my experience with this parametric box, here are some hints about choosing parameters:

• Wall Thickness — 2, 2.4, or 2.8 for small, medium, and large boxes, respectively; I usually use the default (2.4)
• Lip Height — 2 for very small boxes, 3-4 for small to medium boxes, and 5-6 for large boxes; I most commonly use 3 or 4
• Cover Fit Gap — Default 0.05 is not too tight; try 0 for a snug fit; print a test box to check the fit

How to generate a colored text label:

1. Click “Generate Label” under Customizer‘s “Cover Label” section
2. Enter desired text label and parameters
3. In Bambu Studio or other slicer software, split the model into PARTS, not objects—this keeps the lettering embedded in the cover
4. Assign a filament color to all parts corresponding to the individual letters, usually all but the first two parts listed
