FilaStraight Filament Straightener- Print-in-place

Introducing the FilaStraight filament straightener. Bent filament, from tight spooling or storage is extremely annoying to load into extruders or AMS units. This tool straightens filament and makes it pliable again, so it can be hand bent and retain its shape without snapping back.

Wait for model to cool before use - Hot PLA will not spring back!!

Model prints in place with NO supports. It is spring loaded and automatically reopens after straightening press.

Instructions:

Insert filament into side of FilaStraight and clamp with moderate palm pressure. Pull firmly on long end, all the way through while applying pressure. Repeat 2 to 3 times to straighten filament. If filament is brittle, use less palm pressure and more pulls. Filament will become soft and straighten. PLA straightens easily, PETG and ABS may require more pulls as they are tougher filaments. Heavy pressure will result in filament breakage, use multiple pulls at moderate pressure for best results.
