Credit Card Cutlery Kit

The Credit Card Cutlery Kit is a compact culinary companion crafted for convenience and cleverly concealed within a credit card frame.

The size of a credit card, the kit fits in your wallet and can be used in an emergency when you forget to bring utensils.

Assembly

The fork and spoon fold like origami to create an ergonomic head angle and improved scooping volume. The three dots latch the fold to add structural strength and rigidity.

You do not need to crease the fold along the entire length of the handle. Creasing along the latch area is sufficient.

Creasing closer to the head will increase the head angle and spoon volume, but too much creasing may cause the thin folding layer to split.

Prototypes

Over 60 prototypes were printed in the process of finding a balance between strength, ergonomics, reliability and print speed.

Food Safety

While PLA is considered food safe, it is not recommended to reuse this cutlery - it is intended for one-time emergency use.

We also don't know how clean your wallet is, so it's your call whether using currency-crusted cutlery is cleaner than using your hands.

Printing

Print-in-place, no supports.

Designed for 0.15mm layer height with a base layer of 0.20mm.

Test-printed on the Prusa Mini with PLA, completed in 35 minutes.
