Silica Gel spool - container V1

This is the easiest way to keep your filaments dry. A Silica gel container that takes about 400g of silica gel. The mini version takes 330g, and fits in AMS or probably any filament dryer (two of them fit in one slot). You can keep it in your AMS or wherever you store your filaments and easily move it in your filament dryer to recharge the silica gel, no need for refilling or having different containers.

You can also print the middle part to have a hydrometer on your spool. It's optional to install this part. I wanted to have the option to remove it super easily because they seem not to be working great in the filament dryer, and I still haven't found a nicer way to mount the mount on the spool, but it works for now. I'd really appreciate any ideas or opinions on how to mount it.

 

It also comes with a funnel for easy filling.

 

Note: print in your toughest filament if planning to dry it in your filament dryer.

 

If you're using PETG translucent It's gonna be a long print.
