Description
I made a box with the hinge set on the side of the box.
This way, there will be no hinges on the inside or outside of the back of the box.
Thanks to the precision of modern printers, the hinge can be printed as one part.
It is suitable for storing small parts or small gifts.
It does not have a locking mechanism, but the friction of the hinge itself is quite high, so the lid will not open by itself when inverted or flipped.
The hinge structure has suspended parts when printed in one piece, and matching supports have been made, so no additional supports are needed.
After printing, these additional supports need to be removed as shown in the picture:
Gently bend the hinge to make it rotate freely, which becomes the closed state of the hinge, and this is also the closed posture of the hinge when the box is closed.
By comparing the shape of the holes in the lid or the bottom of the box, you should be able to know how to install the hinge.
Snap the hinge into place.
Then, enjoy~
As mentioned earlier, the gap between the hinge structure and the support structure is 0.2mm.
If you enlarge or reduce the model, it may cause the structure to fail.
As shown in the photo, I offer two types of boxes: one with rounded edges and the other without.

得益于现在打印机的精度,铰链可以一次打印完成
适合用来装小零件,小礼物
它没有锁扣机构,但是铰链本身的摩擦力较大,盒盖并不会因为倒置或翻转而自己打开。
组装说明:
铰链结构在一体打印时有悬空部分,已经制作了配套的支撑,所以不需要额外添加支撑。
打印完成后,需要移除这些额外的支撑,如图所示:
轻轻掰一下铰链,可以使其自由旋转,成为这种闭合的状态,这也是盒子关闭时铰链的闭合姿态
对比一下盒盖或者盒底部的空洞形状应当可以知道铰链的安装方式
将铰链扣紧到位即可
注意:
如前所述,铰链结构与支撑结构的间隙为0.2mm,如果您放大或者缩小模型都可能导致结构的失效。
