Clickfinity Baseplates

These Gridfinity-compatible baseplates provide a secure base for your gridfinity containers that DOES NOT REQUIRE MAGNETS, while still keeping the bins securely in place.

Combined with the significantly reduced filament usage compared to baseplates with magnets, these can save you a TON of money in magnets and filament (and time).

For securely mounting the baseplate to your drawers, there are M2 screw-holes everywhere.

Want to use these on your desk? Check out my matching outer trim pieces here. Clip them onto the outer edges of your base plate to make it look ✨pretty✨.

Printing and using Clickfinity baseplates

Simply print the desired baseplate size, as well as any needed connectors, and click your bins into place. They should snap in with a satisfying “click”, without requiring too much force in pressing down. If you're unsure, I recommend printing a small 1x1 plate as a tester first, to ensure that your filament and printer are properly dialed in. I've had the best success with ABS, but PETG should work just as well.

Do not use PLA! Due to the nature of PLA, it will quickly deform under the constant load of the bins, which will make the baseplate quickly (probably within less than a wekk) loose all of its grip on the bins – even if you're not taking them out at all.

You can combine several of these baseplate prints into larger plates by joining them together with the included connectors.

You can build around non-rectangular shapes by using the included hub models, as well.

Prior Work

My version of the clickfinity baseplates is a variant of the original clickplates by jrymk as well as the connector concept by NoWarrenty seen here.

The big difference between this and NoWarrenty's model is that my version has pins on all sides of the baseplates, meaning that their orientation does not matter.
