Collapsible Fox Mask

This is a mask that collapses down to the size of a hairband so you can wear it on top of your head but still unfurl it at a moments notice when you need to turn into a fox.

Printing

If you have a super tack or cryogrip build plate I recommend using that to guarantee good adhesion.

Sizing

The given sizes approximately match generic hat sizes but human heads are weird so I recommend printing one in a single colour to test sizing. To dial in the size, simply scale the entire model in Bambu Studio up or down by a few percent. The difference from one size to the next (ie small to medium) is about 5%.

Assembly

1. Carefully trim the circular brims.
2. Nest the 4 sections of the mask in order. From inside to outside this should be ears, brow, eyes, nose.
3. Insert the hinge pins into each side (from the outside) of the mask until they click. It may help to put the flat side down on a table and press hard.

Wearing

The back strap with the ears is intended to go up and behind your head at about 45 degrees and sit just above your ears. When fully unfolded the nose will hit the hard stops that prevent it from opening any further. 

I find it more comfortable to push the mask slightly forward so it isn’t touching my nose and is held mainly by the back strap and the sides of my head.
