Description

Do you want to walk in on a party and talk about your cool self made costume? Of corse you want it!

All you need for this project are:

  • some printed snake heads, (I used 15 bigger heads, and 6 smal heads)
  • acrylic pens, to paint the snake eyes
  • a cheap plastic hair band from the store (maybe you can also 3d print this, but i have used one from the drug store)
  • a reliable glue to connect the hairband and the snakes (I used worbla from a cosplay store https://cosplayshop.be/de/product/worblas-finest-art/)
  • if you use worbla, you need a hot air dryer

First, you print some snakes. Feel free to print more than one board full of snakes to enhance you Medusa look.

Try some different positions for the snakes and glue them all together on the hairband. If you want to use worbla as I did, you need a heatgun to activate the glue. Just shape the thermoactive plastic around the hairband and stick the snake heads on it. Let it cool before you move on to the next snake. If you never worked with worbla before and feel intimidated, I can assure you, it is very easy and there are a lot of tutorials on youtube. Just be sure you don't burn yourself with the hot air gun. Childen should be supervised, using worbla.

As a final touch you can add the painted details with acrylic paint.

I am not yet sure what I am going to wear for this costume, but I higly recomment my stencil for scales you can apply with eyeshadow:
