Update 2025-01-05: I added a 5 hole version to this profile. A faster print profile will follow shortly, but the slow one should give the best results. I will probably merge the 3-hole version into this as well.
Update 2024-09-19: A 3-hole version of this model is now available: https://makerworld.com/en/models/651663
With all the remote controls I have lying around (and most of them in active use), it became time to make a stand of some sorts. There are some nice designs around here, but none of the designs I liked were a good match for use with my Nvidia Shield remote. Because, in all their wisdom, they decided that it should be a triangle. Such a handy shape!
Anyway, I just decided to design my own. The large holes for regular remote are just flat-bottomed. The hole for the shield remote features a wedge in the bottom to keep it leaned back. The original version of this design had a flat bottom, but with the shape and weight distribution of that remote, it had a tendency to stand upright. The wedge mitigates that problem.
Stick some felt on the bottom to prevent scratches and add some friction as well.
