Description
I needed a better way to manage my growing collection of screws and small components, which led me to create this custom storage solution. The design was shaped around a few key requirements that suited my needs. First and foremost, I wanted compact, portable containers that I could easily carry to wherever I happened to be working. Each container had to have a lid for keeping everything organized and secure, whether stored away or being moved around.
I made sure the boxes were sized for convenient access while offering enough space to hold a wide range of small parts. A designated area was also included for labeling, with space for a 13x26mm tag for easy identification.
The design is simple and efficient, using a 1.75mm filament to keep the lid fastened, without needing any additional hardware.
Note: When assembling the locking mechanism and the slider, make sure to align the slider in the correct orientation. There is a chamfer applied to the bottom that can be hard to notice, but if the slider is aligned incorrectly, the lock will jam.
