Description

Hi, everyone! I've created this model for the puzzle contest. It might be a late entry but this is my first model that I’ve uploaded to MakerWorld!

The model has hidden compartment (~ 80mm x fi17mm) that can be access only after completing internal maze. The way that traps are created allows for quite easy initial assembly but harder solving pattern, however the puzzle is not hard. The maze is shaped so it doesn't need any kind of support.

The outer side contains of two intersecting threads with different polarity. This allows for creating both left and right threaded nuts for one screw, as you can see on cross section image. My main inspiration for this thread was: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDfMI5ahbJI . Original screw has 10 independent thread paths which creates characteristic teeth of the thread. My model has one continuous path for each L and R thread which makes it mor suitable for 3D printers.

At first the thread might be a bit tight, that's good! After a few turns the thread will wear creating high spots on the thread making very nice fit. Remember about the fact that one nut has mirrored thread and needs to be tighten the other way.

Hope you will like it!
