Note: New Print Profile!
I have never had an issue printing the original print profile I created, but some people have had problems with the “swirl” breaking during prints, especially using silk filaments. I updated the print file (named “stronger supports”) that have helped some, but others still report problems.
I have added yet another print profile. This has more extensive tree support, with thicker tree walls, and a better z-interface and z-height. I've also changed the strength to 3 walls--this will hopefully provide additional strength and support to that thin area around the swirl, so that it doesn't fall/break easily while printing.
The new profile has smoother support interfaces, but be aware that, especially when dealing with yarn, anything with supports may require some post processing. That's the nature of 3d printing, and not a failure of the model. I've had a few people ding me because of the post processing need.
Note that because of these changes, this most recent profile has slightly longer print times and more filament use.

I printed the skull bowl by Print4Gods, and a couple of people told me it would make a great yarn bowl.
So, I imported the skull into fusion, and dug a golden ratio out of one side to act as the ‘swirl’ in a yarn bowl that can be used for threading yarn. I dug out the eyes and nose to act as needle holders and/or working with multiple colors. Lastly, that jagged top had to go. Roughness or pointy bits can snag on yarn, so I cut down until none of it remained.
Edit Dec 19, 2024: while hundreds of people have successfully downloaded and printed this profile, a few have reported issues with the swirl area breaking off during printing, even though it's supported. This especially seems to be a problem with some silk PLAs. I have created a second profile with more supports, on the build plate only. I've also switched to gyroid infill to reduce the chance of the nozzle striking the infill. Hopefully this resolves the issue for those folks! Please note that even with the added supports, the spiral bit is delicate and requires a gentle touch when removing supports.
New pictures were taken with the updated profile in Amolen red-and-black dual extrusion silk PLA.
