Description

I usually put my microphone cables trough a 19-inch cover plate with D-Shape-type holes. As I have the freedom to put in whatever I want. as i sometimes would like to just put some cables trough which are on my desk, I wanted to make something more elegant than leaving big gaps. As the 19-inch plate is quite thin, I prefer something a bit more gentle on the cables.

This model allows to put cables trough without the hassle of opening up cables that go trough the 8mm hole. The model is made with two-parts. They are connected with a tongue and groove joint, so you can just put the over the cables and slide them in.

The cover plate has an extra ‘hook’ that can fit most steel cover plates. This helps to attach the cable without the plate falling off. The groove here is 1.5mm. Even if it doesn;t fit, it can just be put in the hole regardless.

The cover plate fits the Neutrik “D-Shape” standards.

Printing variations

This item can be printed as it's downloaded. You can also print this with the flat side down. Supports need to be added. The flat side-down has some benefits that it may look a little better. However, you may need to print the model with a finer layer-height. Also, removing supports may be a little harder.

Boost MeAs these models are free, I hope to be able to make a lot more. However, designing can be time consuming, but testing even more, and costs filament. If you like what I make, please consider boosting me, helping me to design/test more of my work. Thank you.
