Pagoda of Fogong Temple, also known as Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, is located in the Fogong Temple of Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, founded in the second year of Liaoqing Ning (1056), is the world's tallest and oldest existing pure wooden structure pavilion-style building, together with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, known as the "world's three strange towers".
It is built of an all-wood structure without a single nail in it; 3,000 tons of wooden components, occlusion to each other to form the tower body, 1,500 people can climb the wooden tower at the same time, the average load of each wooden column on the first floor is as high as 110 tons, and this load has lasted for nearly a thousand years since the wooden tower was built in 1056 AD. In the millennium, other similar wooden towers, or destroyed by natural disasters, or lost in man-made disasters, only the wooden tower of Yingxian County exists in the world, more than 40 earthquakes, more than 200 times of gunfire and artillery bombardment, countless lightning strikes, strong earthquakes do not fall, artillery strikes do not destroy, lightning strikes do not burn, can be called "China's first wooden tower"
