eSun Cardboard Spool - Hex Pattern Reuseable Spool

First measure you eSun Spool, before printing and definitely before ripping apart the spool!
Measure the spool core width and if possible the spool core diameter ( it is hard without the right tool,
but there are some tools online at Makerworld).
This spool is not(!) for eSun Refill Spools.

 

Some recently bought eSun cardboard spools (PLA+/ePLA) could not be used on a Bambu Labs reuseable spool

(if you remove the cardboard walls), first I had to glue the sides together again. But after one fall off I had
to search for a other solution.
I created this spool with following parameters:

• spool diameter: 200mm
• spool core diameter: 75.7mm
• spool hole diameter: 55mm
• spool core width: 58.2mm
• spool side thickness: 2.4mm.
• applied some holes to save material

I applied a 10mm honeycomb cutout pattern.

If fits perfectly into the Bambu AMS.
If you print it with PLA, do not use the spool in a filament dryer .. it will deform.
If drying is a topic then print it in ABS. But I did not get spools from eSun except PLA/ePLA,
which need no dryer anyway.

 

I you printed this spool by accident and have to use it with the normal sized eSun filament spool
core give this eSun Spool Adapter narrow->normal cardboard spool a try.

Please also have a look on the Filament Clip (spring loaded) for Bambu Spool that fits this spool
or another kind of filament clip that I created Filament Clip for Bambu reuseable spool. Both fit
to this spool.
