Fidget Wrench (Print in Place!)

This wrench is more toy than tool, but you could use it for some 3D printed nuts and bolts! It's a fun little model based on a 1929 patent for a monkey wrench. This little thing is a great desk toy to fidget with while you try to figure out how to get your moving parts to print in place because you're too darn lazy to assemble anything!

 

NOTE!!

When you pull this off the print bed it's going to seem like it's all seized up, and it kind of is. The overhangs will male slight contact with the parts beneath and just barely stick together. Don't despair! You'll need to give the wrench a few good twists to break everything free. Still, the slider will probably be stuck. You're going to need to push the slider up while twisting the screw COUNTERCLOCKWISE. A few good rounds of twisting the whole wrench to make sure everything is broken free and pushing the slider while twisting the screw to get it free has worked for me every time. For smooth operation apply some lubrication (I use the oil that comes with the A1) at the locations in the picture. Apply when you have the slider in a position that opens a small gap for it to seep in. After that just work it a few times and you should have a very satisfying fidgety desk toy!
