Hello Everybody!

This is my custom Ignition Cover for the Puch E50/ZA50/Z50 Engines commonly found in Puch Maxi Mopeds and KTM Hobby.

It can be customized as well. All you need is 2-6 M3x5 screws with cylindrical head and a nut each.

I recommend printing it with ASA, because it's quite resistant to fuel, can be smoothed and is more heat-resistant, and that is quite important, considering the standard exhaust pipe lies 1-2cm beneath.

I discovered that if you paint it with a thin layer of two-component paint (2K Farblack for my german fellows), the layer lines become absolutely invisible. But don't apply too much paint, otherwise the solvent will bleach the part white.

Down here I'll explain how to customize yours.

First, you'll ned a .svg drawing of your custom cover. It has to be inside a circle with all lines interconnected to it.

Then, you'll go on to merge your drawing with the cover part.

When you have your drawing finished, you open the .3mf file of the cover and add import your .svg

If you did that, drag it in the middle of the small cover part.

Then it should look like this.

Afterwards, you scale it down to fit inside the cover (no gap!) with the holes for the screws untouched.

Then it should like this. Now, scale it down to a height of 3.5mm (disable uniform scaling).

Now it should fit perfectly. Last, you'll need to merge the .svg with the cover part to avoid printing issues.

You do that by Ctrl+Leftclick the two parts in the model tree, then right click and hit “merge”.

Then, go on to print it! What are you waiting for?
