Fifth Element Multipass Badge/ID holder

Having seen a few other multipass models on various stl sites I thought it would be a nice challenge to further my limited fusion skills and replace my aging ID badge holder for work…

The uploaded profile uses eSun PLA+ filament as that is what I had in the colours I wanted to use but you can use your own as suits.

As most of the files I have seen require painting or for you to paint in the colours for an AMS I decided to separate out the parts to make easier to print with less waste.

The smaller parts ideally would be best suited to a 0.2mm nozzle but I have adjusted the individual parts slicer settings to slow them down for a better result and this has worked for me fine on a 0.4mm nozzle… all these settings are in the profile…

Its not film accurate but looks pretty close from a distance lol… main thing though is I added badge retention which obviously is not present on the film prop… nobody wants to be the one that loses their ID badge as it wasn't held in…

The location holes are 2mm… I have added pins the right size which do print ok on 0.4mm and work with the holder or you can use 2mm styrene if you prefer.

Assembly is straight forward and I use super glue for that.

I have seen a comment suggesting this should be labelled a remix… I did actually think this before I published it and looked up the definition and found this post https://forum.bambulab.com/t/copyright-vs-remix/71011

I have seen other models on makerworld and have used them to inspire my own however I have not used any of the models assets and designed this in fusion from scratch using this and other online references...
 

I feel that makes this my own work and not a remix as from my understanding a remix is taking someone else's assets and altering them is some way.

If I have misunderstood the definition or upset other fellow makers who have done similar work then I apologise as thats was not the intent… this is just my take on a prop from a film I love and turned it into something practical for me to use…
