HISTORY HERNHUTTERS
The Hernhutters were brothers who originally (anno 1722) came from the former Czechoslovakia, but were persecuted there, fled and ended up in Hernhut in Germany. In that town they built a settlement that has grown into an Evangelical Brethren community.
Today there are several brethren communities throughout Europe, Africa, South-America and the Caribian, totalling to 1 million members.
