Radius Caliper Add-On

Converts a digital caliper (for various affordable brands, let people know via Make which ones) to a radius caliper. With this add-on, you can measure round objects beyond jaw dimensions.

The measurement is based on three tangent contacts.

1) Place add-ons. Close your jaws and zero the display.
2) Press the tool between the jaws so that the jaws and the body of the caliper contact the surface of the object.
3) Caliper's display shows the RADIUS. Count Diameter = 2x Radius.

With this add-on, a typical caliper can reach a radius of up to 115mm (4.5"), i.e., an object diameter of 230mm.

Print parts vertically so that long (contact) surfaces are flat on the bed. No support is needed.
