Mitutoyo 8in/200mm Vernier Caliper Box (Magnetic)

This is a caliper box for the 8"/200mm Mitutoyo Vernier calipers. It uses 10 x 2mm magnets for the enclosure and to hold the calipers in place in the box. I also used 1mm adhesive felt to protect the head of the calipers from damage in the box.

 

Due to the sheer size of these calipers, this box must be printed standing on its side. This will need supports for the best results. I find that two piece cases are flimsy and rarely go together properly, which is why I designed it this way. This also unfortunately means it is not compatible with the A1 Mini. If you would like to print this in multiple pieces, I can create a design for this to accommodate that request. Just let me know in the comments.

 

The mitutoyo logo was inspired by another design by NordicWalker that houses the 6" calipers.
