Description
I learned from a previous caulking tube plug and then fully remade it to be better.
Everyone cuts their tips differently so you may want it slightly different. It resizes well so if you cut your tube openings larger or smaller, just resize. For reference, the post diameter is 5mm. If you scale the model, pay the most attention to how you are scaling that 5mm center post.
Â
It's only about 5.8 grams of filament so just print one, see if it's right for you and resize if needed. I don't recommend going much less than 80% though.
Â
If you're printing from a more brittle material (i.e. PLA) you still need to be careful not to bend it when pulling the plug out or you risk breaking it off. Nothing I can do about that with such a small post unfortunately.
Warning The center post is only 5mm wide so if you are printing too quickly or don't have your machined calibrated you may experience wobble (rough tip or failure). If you experience this, try printing it slower and do the calibrations you know you should be doing anyways ;).
