Description
Print in TPU!
(It has to be flexible in order to fit over a cord/plug.)
Check dimensions first. Resize Z is an option.
While this is NOT meant to be waterproof, I did add a long gasket and end plugs to make it a bit more tightly enclosed.
I iterated this a few times and ended up narrowing the cut along the side. On my last print, there was occasional stitching/spaghetti between the two sides that I cut with an xacto blade. Because this is a functional item, I'm not worried about the aesthetics, but if you are … you may want to do a partial print or calibrate your TPU or add a negative to widen the slot.
My settings:
The gasket and end plug used the same settings. It was important to turn on THIN WALL DETECTION, because the end plug is a very thin (flimsy) single wall cylinder. As such, I left it to print intact and then cut it with scissors after printing.
