Description
This work is inspired by the classic tank battle game - Battle City(1985), which accompanied me through lots of happy times in my childhood.
I imagined them in 3D based on their 2D pixel ratio in video games, while trying to make them as small and simple as possible.
Due to this minimalist design, these tanks can actually be printed at very small sizes. (Several scaled-down configurations have been added)
After testing, the minimum size that can be printed is 50% of the original size, and still has good details. (When the size is less than 70%, the wheels of the wheeled tank will be difficult to turn)
So you can have a cute little tank at 50% size in less than 15 minutes.
Using Dual-Color filament, you can simulate a flashing red tank.
Based on the plot in video games where players can upgrade their tanks by collecting stars, I designed this tank garage. The lower-level tanks drive in from the back and push out the higher-level tanks inside, just under this star to complete the upgrade action.
Printing and assembly instructions:
To make them both ornamental and playable, I placed them normally in the printing configuration, so that their ugly parts only exist at the bottom.
For most tanks, after printing, just remove the support with pliers and press the turret into the hull.
Here I will only take the wheeled tank as an example to talk about the assembly process:
1. Remove the supports.
2. Use its gun barrel to push out the support in the axle hole.
3. Insert any two wheels into the axle holes opposite to each other and rotate the wheels to make them closest.
4. Apply a little force from both ends of the wheel to lock the buckle of the wheel axle together.
5. Press the turret into the hull.
