Description
This is a 1:25 scale model of the famous Fat Man atomic bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan on 9 August 1945. “Little Boy” and the other atomic bomb “Fat Man” are thought by historians to have brought about an end to the war in the Pacific and thus an end to WWII. The bands of black were a liquid asphalt substance that was painted onto the bomb in 1945 to seal the metal seams. The silver protrusions at the front of the bomb that look like paperclips are radar altimeters that would bounce radio waves off the ground to determine the height to detonate.
This model snaps together for easy assembly – no glue is required.
