Description
Update5: As multi-nozzle and tool changer machines are becoming more common, a new print profile has been added with 2-colour and 3-colour versions of the metric model which can be printed as a single model. With this version, you do not need to glue the scale to the frame, however for best quality it is still recommended to print the scale out separately, face down on the bed (ideally with a 0.2mm nozzle)
Â
Update4: Added a new print profile with a large and small version of the square with no scale on it. Ideal for those who want the tool purely for it's squareness. It requires no AMS unit, prints in a single color and do not need supports.
Â
Update3: Fixed one of the numbers on the large imperial scale not lining up with the tick
Â
Update2: Added an imperial version of the large version.
Â
Update2: Added an imperial version of the small version.
Â
Update: Added a bigger version (was frequently requested) as a new print profile (plus a 0.2mm nozzle version for the rulers). The new version is basically the same, however it also includes 22.5 degree mitre as well as 45 degree.
Â
This is a marking out square for wood and metal workers. It allows accurate lines at 90 and 45 degrees to the work edge. It has pencil indents every 5mm so you just run the square along an edge to mark a line and it has a metric ruler on all 3-Axis.
Â
The print is split into 2 plates and is designed to be printed with no supports.
Â
The first plate is the frame of the square without the rulers. The second plate has both of the rulers with the text on it. The text and marking lines are part of the model rather than being added in Bambu studio and should be printed text side down to the build plate.
Â
You can easily adjust the colours in Bambu studio. While the frame and ruler are both fine printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, you will get more crisp text and lines on the ruler if you use a 0.2mm nozzle.
Â
To assemble simply glue the rulers onto the square frame and leave to dry.
