Description
Is your table constantly cluttered by stuff you dont know where to put? If so, here is the solution! (sort of). A drawer you can print and screw into the underbelly of your desk (screws not included).
If using the gridfinity version, you can not scale it, unless you scale the bins you are going to put inside. And that would be… weird. There is a version that doesn't have gridfinity base, you can scale that any way you want (did 3 different sizes during prototyping and all worked great). There is a drawer stop you can print to prevent the drawer from flying out and maiming your pets and kids, although, by wonder of physics, karma and coincidence it seems to bump the edge on its own and only way to get it out is to squeeze its rear oO
Do not be alarmed if it feels stiff, after a couple of cycles of closing and opening it will work much smoother. If needed, lubricate it (I swear, its the last one!)
Technical stuff:
Dimensions: 185 x 199 x 50 mm / 200grams of filament / costs roughly 2€… of cheapo filament
Gridfinity: 4x4 Grid, 6u height, No magnets
Edit:
Wow! I'm really glad so many of you liked it and boosted me, you basically bought me the AMS unit! After lollygagging on my other designs, I will give this some TLC… but I also dont want to mess it up and release something half baked and waste your filament… and invoke your rage!
The modular design fared a bit better, however I am still using the drawer so I make sure it can withstand the daily slamming and opening as the original one did (thank you hexagons, you truly are the bestagons!!!!)
I am however moving on with the decorative drawers, starting with 20 Tech designs, there is a second profile that has the same aesthetics of the tech drawers you see above. As of now, 4 are available:
Tech 1
Tech 2
Tech 3
Tech 4
In the future, I will make some themed ones (Star Wars, Star Trek, Kenny G… yeah, Kenny G baby!)
Suggestions, comments, criticisms: you know what to do!
(keep em to yourself… nah, jk!)
