Child Lock for Doors Drawers and Cabinets

New and Upgraded Design!

 

After receiving lots of feedback from everyone on my first model and lots of abuse testing here at our home I designed a new and improved latch set. This model I was able to use PLA with successfully but if you want stronger latches, you can always print them with PETG, ABS or CF. My go to is usually ABS.

 

Updates from previous version:

Increased flexibility, removed stress concentration where the parts were commonly failing, simplified and decreased print time, improved strength in various areas, recessed the screw pockets more, reduced the flat areas on the bracket the latch could get hung up on.

 

These latches are compatible with the Version 1 brackets!

 

The screws the clips were designed for are 6 x ½ sheet metal screws, but I imagine anything similar will work as long as they fit in the recesses.
