Description
These word blocks are great for children learning phonics, spelling and reading. I personally used a wooden version when I was very young, and even better, my mom used them! The blocks and rollers can be swapped, so these can be used for 3, 4, and 5 letter words!
No supports needed.
Use a fine layer height for good quality.
This is meant to be done on two separate prints, one for each block so the blocks are different colors.
A filament change is needed on layer 2 or 3 - after slicing, use the bar on the side to find the layer where you want to change the filament - this is while the letters are still printing, not covered up yet. You'll want this layer 2 or 3 layers from the build plate. After this, you have to set a print pause or a filament change at this layer, and slice again before printing.
This print is easy to assemble: Snap the strip of letters onto the roller so that their right is to the spoke. Then, chose the block face that has prongs and attach the 4 with holes onto it, and click in the other one with prongs on top.
I have spent many hours on this design, I hope you like it. Comment any improvements. An enlarged version is coming soon.
