Description
Lich King's helmet, small ornament.
----2025.5.24 Significantly optimised model, both versions of the horns and gems are now split. Please be careful removing the supports.
----2025.1.14 Both print profiles updated. Added a tiny bit of support at the backside.
----2024.12.16 Both print profiles updated. Increase the infill and add some support for the nose area, reduced risk of breakage during printing.
----2024.11.22 Updated headwearable large size version, you can print it at this link:Lich King's Helmet (Life Size)
----2024.11.9 Update the print profile for A1mini, other prints are also applicable, but it's recommended to use the old print profile for non-A1mini prints, because the shape is closer to the game prototype----
Since the upload capacity limit of Bambu is 500M, I only uploaded the stl of the one-piece version, if you need the stl of the split version, you can export it directly from the print profile.
Since I don't have an A1mini and have limited time, I only tested the split part with PLA that the socket was fitting well, but different filaments shrink differently and may need to be glued or sanded appropriately.
The modifications to the model for A1mini are shown below, the two largest horns (green) split into separate pieces, and the two rear horns (blue) slightly reduced in height in order to not exceed the limits of the A1mini (red).
If the print plate is glued, you can turn off the brim separately, but I would recommend leaving it on for enhance stability, it takes a long time to print and it's a waste of time if it fails.
----2024.11.5----
Made to true size ratio and optimised for FDM printing, the bottom is cut at a slight angle for safer placement on the print plate, and the horns on the top are thickened compared to the game, without affecting the visual ratio, to ensure they don't break during printing.。
In terms of size, there are no split pieces for ease of one-off printing, so the preset width is only 10cm (height about 23cm) as a ornament.
Tested three filaments, all can be successfully printed, the difference is as follows:
The pre-supports are shown below, the supports at the red circled place can be removed depending on the filament, they are not a must.
Smoke parts and lights, you can try to play with LED strips, not necessary, I just want to make it a little more vivid. I used two 3V button battery water\smoke LED strip, put the LED into the smoke parts, done. The smoke pieces are divided into left and right, you need to look at the photo to find the right angle to snap, they should be very tight. Mobile phone shooting blue light is very strange, in fact, it is a ghostly blue light, quite beautiful.
