HOLE & HEX TOLERANCE GAUGES 1mm - 20mm

Update Jan 23, 2025: Hole Tolerance Gauges 21-30mm https://makerworld.com/en/models/1029479#profileId-1011949

Update Feb 17, 2025: Inside Diameter Tolerance Gauges https://makerworld.com/en/models/1120396#profileId-1118677

Designers all know that 3D prints require tolerance to make parts fit together correctly. Use these gauges to help you design your prints faster with increased accuracy.

All gauges have holes (measured with diameter) and hexagons (measured across flats) drawn in CAD to specific sizes but will likely print undersized depending on your printer, settings, and filament used.

Instead of using a dial caliper and estimating your needed tolerances, use these gauges.

How to read the tolerance gauge:

Place cylindrical (bolts, wire, filament, rods, dowels, etc) or hexagonal (nuts, bolt heads, etc) parts into different holes on the tolerance gauges until you reach your desired fitment. Read the full millimeters listed vertically on the left first then read the tenths of the millimeter listed horizontally across the top.

If designing for specific hardware place your hardware in the gauges to get your desired fitment.

The hexagonal hole for the following nut should be drawn at least 14.5mm for a tight fit or slightly larger for ease of assembly.

The hole for the following bolt should be drawn at least 9.7mm for a tight fit or slightly larger for ease of assembly.

This set includes eight different tolerance gauges and a stand to keep them all organized.
