Description
I was looking for a unique cribbage board to print for my daughter to take with her to college. I found and printed the Cribbage Board Trophy here on Makerworld, but I didn't like how the pegs became somewhat eclipsed on the inside track. I also like to play with more than 3 people and boards for more than 3 players are hard to find. Ultimately, I decided to design my own and this is the result.
There are a few different options for playing 5 person cribbage. I tend to like the first option, but you can try them all and see which one your family or cribbage buddies prefer.
There are two versions of the pegs. The upright ones print a bit nicer, but with the layer lines, you run a real risk of breaking the pegs off in the holes, which would not be fun. The flat ones will be much stronger, but have that unsightly flat spot on one edge. If you print the vertical pegs, just break them off of the sacrificial raft.
I strongly recommend printing with a tuned profile. Any overextrusion might make your pegs not fit in the holes. If that happens, the quick fix would be to sand the pegs a bit, but that will leave them looking a little rough. Another option would be to reprint the pegs scaled down by a percentage or two. You should also be able to use other “standard” sized pegs from Amazon or from your old cribbage board.
Enjoy!
