Sliding Barn Doors
LET ME KNOW, IF YOU WANT THIS CUSTOMIZED FOR YOUR DIMENSIONS
I made these with 30x30 alu tracks and wheels for the standard 38mm wide door. Slides smoothly and holds the heavy door quite fine. Even after some time I don't observe any sagging.
HARDWARE (for on slider, double it for whole door panel):
- 2x V-track wheels: large wheels for 30x30 alu profiles
- 2x M5x40-45 flat head screws: used as axis for the wheels
- 2x M5x50 self taping flat head screw: vertical door attachement
- 2x M4x40 self taping conical head screw:
- horizontal door attachement
- I used M4.5 screws and had to heat them to be able to screw them in
- (optional) 2xM8 threaded rod, variable length:
- there are vertical holes going from the top to bottom (open from the top only), that can be used to reinforce the print
- I tend to over-engineer things and these are not neccessary in the end.
